Yale founded by ministers who left Harvard
1701
New Haven, Connecticut
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Founded by ministers who thought Harvard had gone soft on doctrine, and named for a merchant who sent nine bales of goods. Its Gothic quadrangles were built in the 1930s and deliberately aged, stone chipped, glass cracked and leaded, acid poured on the walls.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
