The Warner, a movie palace Erie kept

Opened by the Warner brothers in 1931 in French Renaissance and art deco, with a mirrored lobby and a ceiling that cost more than the land. It was carved into a multiplex in the 1970s like most of them, then bought by the county, put back, and handed to the Philharmonic. The reason it survives is that Erie stopped being prosperous enough to knock it down and then became interested enough to fix it.
