The Sunset Strip curfew riots
November 1966
West Hollywood, California
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Police enforced a ten o'clock curfew on teenagers outside the clubs and a thousand of them refused to go home. Buffalo Springfield wrote For What It's Worth about it within days, a song later mistaken for a Vietnam protest, though it was about kids on a pavement.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
