The Chuck E. Cheese killings, Colorado's worst shooting before Columbine
1993
Aurora, Colorado
On 14 December 1993 a 19 year old fired on the closing shift at this Aurora restaurant, five months after being fired from it, killing four workers and leaving a fifth alive with a wound to the jaw. Nathan Dunlap was convicted on four counts of first degree murder and sentenced to death. Governor John Hickenlooper granted him an indefinite reprieve in 2013 without commuting the sentence, and Governor Jared Polis commuted it to life without parole in 2020 on the day Colorado repealed capital punishment.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
