The Amertec Building was a concrete fantasy a woodworker built for his father
1967
Hialeah, Florida
Chayo Frank designed this building on West 21st Street for his father's architectural woodworking and fixture company, calling the result an organic entity rather than an office. Curved rebar shaped the geometry and water flumes ran down the outside. The family sold it in 1981, later owners used it to store produce, and it was demolished in February 2017.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
