Approved for construction in 1993 and opened in 1999, this 2,400 seat arena in Westwego fits six hardwood courts under one roof. From 2002 to 2013 it was the practice home of the New Orleans Hornets, later the Pelicans, which put an NBA team's daily work across the river from the arena where it played. The rest of the calendar runs on amateur basketball tournaments, boxing cards, wrestling and gymnastics meets.
