The sweatbox over a drugstore where Angelo Dundee trained a generation of champions, and where a 22-year-old Cassius Clay prepared to take Sonny Liston apart up the road at the Convention Hall in February 1964. He shouted that he had shook up the world, confirmed his membership in the Nation of Islam the next morning, and became Muhammad Ali within weeks. The original gym came down in 1993. A revival by the same family operates nearby.
