Starlight Park and the Bronx International Exposition
1918
West Farms, the Bronx
CC0 · Wikimedia Commons
The Bronx International Exposition of Science, Arts and Industries opened beside the Bronx River in 1918, and the fairground stayed on afterwards as the Starlight Park amusement park. It had rides, the Bronx Coliseum and the submarine USS Holland on display. Fire took much of it in 1932, the last attractions closed in 1946, and a public park of the same name now occupies the ground.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
