Robert Johnson's three graves

Greenwood, Mississippi · 1938

He recorded twenty-nine songs in two sessions, died at twenty-seven near Greenwood, probably poisoned by a jealous husband, and was buried without a marker. Three churches now claim the grave and all three have stones.
