Restland, where the man who invented the Frito is buried
1925
Dallas, Texas
Restland opened in 1925 on the county land between Dallas and Richardson and grew into one of the largest cemeteries in North Texas. Among the politicians and ballplayers buried here is Charles Elmer Doolin, who bought a corn chip recipe in San Antonio in 1932, named the result the Frito, and built the company that became half of Frito-Lay. The other half of that company now has its headquarters a few miles north in Plano.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
