Quinette Cemetery, a burial ground opened the year after slavery ended
1866
Kirkwood, Missouri
Quinette was established in 1866 by the congregation of Olive Chapel AME, one year after emancipation in Missouri. The ground runs to about 2.7 acres and holds only 25 marked graves, though somewhere between 150 and 200 people are believed to be buried in it. Most of the markers that once stood here are gone.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
