Quechee Gorge

Hartford, Vermont

Vermont's deepest gorge, 165 feet down to the Ottauquechee, cut through schist by meltwater at the end of the last glaciation. The railway bridge over it now carries a road and is the best view in the state from a car park.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
