Printers Alley after dark
1940
Printers Alley, Nashville
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
A service alley behind the print shops and newspapers filled with clubs during the years the county was legally dry, running on setups and brown-bagging. Chet Atkins, Boots Randolph and Hank Williams all worked the rooms, and Skull Schulman's Rainbow Room kept it going for decades.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
