Poe in Baltimore
Baltimore, Maryland
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Poe wrote in a tiny Amity Street house and died in Baltimore at 40, found delirious in someone else's clothes outside a tavern being used as a polling place. The cause has never been settled. For decades someone left roses and cognac on his grave each January.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
