Medieval Times builds a castle beside the tollway
1991
Schaumburg, Illinois
Eighty four thousand square feet of Spanish styled castle went up on nineteen and a half acres at Roselle Road and the Northwest Tollway, and opened on 15 June 1991 as the first Medieval Times in the Midwest. David Jordan designed it for the company and a contractor from Elk Grove Village built it. Inside, six knights in armour joust for the title of King's Champion while 1,488 people eat a four course meal with their hands.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
