Little Richard washes dishes at the Greyhound station
1955

Richard Penniman, one of twelve children from the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood, was washing dishes at the bus station and working out a filthy, hammering novelty number between shifts. Cleaned up for record, Tutti Frutti opened with nonsense syllables and a scream and is about as close as anything gets to the first rock and roll record.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
