Hagåtña, Guam
Hajime NAKANO from Tokyo, Japan · CC BY 2.0 · Wikimedia Commons
Pillars of coral limestone capped with a hemispherical stone, cut and raised by the ancient Chamorro to carry their houses above the ground. Some weigh many tons and were moved without draft animals or the wheel. They are the emblem of Guam and appear on everything from the flag of the legislature to bus shelters.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
