Henry B. González filibusters the segregation bills

He filibustered the Texas Senate for 22 hours in 1957 against segregation bills, then became the first Mexican American from Texas elected to Congress, holding the seat for 37 years. He chaired the banking committee through the savings and loan scandal and refused to take PAC money the entire time.
