Euless Trinity opens every football game with a Tongan sipi tau

Tongan families began settling in Euless in the 1970s and 1980s, many of them for work at the airport, and the town now holds one of the largest Tongan communities in the United States. Trinity's football team started performing the challenge dance before games in 2004, and after consulting Tongan elders in 2014 the school gave it its correct name, the sipi tau. The Trojans took state championships in 2005, 2007 and 2009.
