A theme park built around Al Capp's Li'l Abner strip, with a hillbilly village, a trout hatchery and staff in character, in a state whose people the strip had spent thirty years caricaturing. It did well until the comic ended and the joke stopped landing, closed in 1993, and stood rusting behind a fence for decades.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
