Cave-in-Rock and the river pirates

A fifty-foot cave mouth opening straight onto the Ohio, used by gangs who advertised it as a tavern, robbed the flatboats that stopped, and sometimes killed the crews. Samuel Mason ran it, and the Harpes after him.
