Berkeley Springs, and the tasting
1990
Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia

George Washington soaked in these warm springs as a teenaged surveyor and kept coming back, and the town has been in the bathing business ever since, with a state park built around the spring itself. Since 1990 it has also hosted the largest water tasting competition in the world, where judges rank municipal tap water from dozens of countries. Winning towns put it on their water towers.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
