Reles was the Murder, Inc. Informant whose evidence had already brought down a string of the outfit's members. On November 12, 1941 he went out of the window of room 623, having either jumped, fallen or been pushed, a few hours before he was to testify against Albert Anastasia. Six police detectives were guarding him. The hotel had opened in 1927 to compete with Atlantic City and was demolished in 1995.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
