Woollybear Festival
Downtown Vermilion, Vermilion, OH
Downtown Vermilion hosts the Woollybear Festival each October, built around the woolly bear caterpillar's folk reputation for predicting winter weather. Started by television weatherman Dick Goddard in 1973, it features a parade and costume contests and draws over 100,000 visitors in a single day. It is billed as Ohio's largest one-day festival.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
