Westfest
West Fair and Rodeo Grounds, West, TX
The small Central Texas town of West celebrates its Czech immigrant heritage every Labor Day weekend with polka bands, kolache booths, and a parade at the West Fair and Rodeo Grounds. The festival has run since 1976 and remains one of the largest Czech heritage gatherings in the state. West's bakeries, famous for kolaches, supply much of the food.
