Tet Festival
Mary Queen of Vietnam Church, 14001 Dwyer Boulevard, New Orleans, LA
Mary Queen of Vietnam Church hosts the region's largest Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration in New Orleans East, with traditional food, a lion dance and a pageant over a winter weekend. The neighborhood was rebuilt by its Vietnamese American community after Hurricane Katrina and the festival has become one of its signature public events. Dates follow the lunar calendar and shift each year around Tet.
