Tater Day
Downtown Court Square, Benton, KY
One of the oldest continuously held trade days in the country, Tater Day began in the 1840s as a livestock and sweet potato slip trading day around the Marshall County courthouse in Benton. It has grown into a multi-day festival with a carnival, pageants and vendors, culminating on the first Monday in April. The 2026 edition marked its 183rd year.
