Swamp Cabbage Festival
Barron Park, LaBelle, FL
LaBelle celebrates swamp cabbage, the heart of the native sabal palm, with cook-offs, a parade, and an arena rodeo that has run since 1958. The festival anchors the last weekend of February in this Caloosahatchee River cattle town. Vendors sell the vegetable prepared a dozen ways alongside gator and frog-leg fare. (2027 dates approximate.)
