Omak Stampede & Suicide Race
Omak Stampede Arena, Omak, WA
An annual rodeo in Omak held every August since 1933, best known for the World Famous Suicide Race, in which riders and horses charge down a steep bluff and swim the Okanogan River. The four-day event also includes a PRCA rodeo, a grand parade, and a carnival, organized jointly with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. It remains one of the most attended events in north-central Washington.
