Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration
Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, Macon, GA
Held each September at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, this gathering brings dancers, drummers, and artisans from federally recognized tribes to the ancestral Muscogee (Creek) mounds for a weekend of Native American culture. The National Park Service has hosted the celebration with descendant tribal nations for decades. It includes stomp dance demonstrations, storytelling, and a juried art market.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
