MECA Dia de Muertos Festival
MECA, Historic Dow School, 1900 Kane St, Houston, TX
MECA's Dia de Muertos Festival fills the historic Dow School campus in Houston's Old Sixth Ward with altars, artisan vendors and performances honoring Mexican Day of the Dead traditions. It is Houston's original Day of the Dead celebration, running for more than two decades and remaining free and open to the public. It typically lands on the first weekend of November.
