Charro Days
Downtown Brownsville, Market Square, Brownsville, TX
Brownsville and its sister city Matamoros have celebrated Charro Days together since 1938, a binational fiesta of parades, costume balls, and mariachi that marks the start of the Rio Grande Valley's festival season. Locals dress in traditional Mexican charro and China Poblana costumes for the Grand International Parade. A carnival runs downtown for nearly two weeks around the main events.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
