Bay to Breakers
Howard and Main, to the Great Highway, San Francisco, CA
A twelve kilometre race across the whole width of the city, run every year since 1912 and now at least as famous for what people wear as for how fast they run. Salmon costumes traditionally run the course backwards, and centipedes of thirteen tied-together runners compete in their own category.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
