The snow jogger
North Mississippi Avenue, Portland, Oregon
Still from the original video by KOIN 6
Three inches of snow fell on Portland in February 2014, which for Portland is an emergency, and KOIN 6 sent the reporter Lisa Balick out at night to find someone doing something odd in it. She found two runners on North Mississippi Avenue. Chelsea told her the snow was the perfect texture for running, low impact and dry enough that your feet stayed dry, then jogged off down this street and went straight down on a patch of ice about twenty yards past the camera, live, with the shot still on her.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
