The gator on the noodle

A noodle here means a jug line: a baited hook hung under a float cut from a pool noodle and left out overnight for catfish. This one was set near a paddle in campsite on the edge of Lake Fausse Pointe. The camper went out to check it on the afternoon of 9 April 2016, pulled, and an alligator came up beside the kayak with its jaws open at the gunwale, close enough to touch. He let go of the noodle and got his hands back. The GoPro strapped to his chest caught all of it, and the clip has been watched more than thirteen million times since.
