A Boston police officer tried the new playground slide on City Hall Plaza at about half past six in the evening on 29 July 2023, came out of the tube feet first and upside down, and skidded across the pavement while pieces of his duty belt went flying. He took a minor head injury, was treated on scene, missed no work and faced no discipline. The video passed forty five million views, John Oliver called it the best movie of the summer, and by 2026 the slide had become a tourist stop for visitors who came to Boston to ride it themselves.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
