The diner where two damaged people meet over Raisin Bran and negotiate the terms of a dance, is a real chrome-and-vinyl diner outside Philadelphia, still serving. The booth is a booth you can sit in. The film shot in the working restaurant between breakfast rushes, and the neighborhood the whole thing is set in is the one it was filmed in.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
