Walley World, the theme park the Griswolds drive across the country to reach only to find it closed, is this real park north of Los Angeles. The film shut it for the shoot and dressed it up. Chevy Chase marches a security guard around the rides at gunpoint. The place still runs, and still, at the far end of a long drive, sometimes disappoints.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
