Barton 1792
est. 1879
Bardstown, Kentucky
The oldest fully operating distillery in Bardstown, the town that calls itself the Bourbon Capital of the World, drawing on the Tom Moore spring since 1879. In 2018 one of its warehouses simply split, spilling nine thousand barrels down the hillside, bourbon's most-photographed structural failure.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
