Abilene's fair and PRCA rodeo has run for more than a century at the Taylor County Expo Center, combining a livestock show, a carnival midway, and nightly rodeo performances. It anchors the Big Country region's fall calendar each September. The event began in the early 1900s as a regional agricultural exhibition.
