The Sweetwater Jaycees host the World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup each March at the Nolan County Coliseum, where hunters bring in wild-caught snakes for milking, skinning, and cook-offs. The event has run since 1958 and remains the largest gathering of its kind in the country. Beyond the snake pits, it includes a carnival, a parade, and a Miss Snake Charmer pageant.
