Sea Isle City's Harvest Classic turns Excursion Park into a fall market each October, with pumpkin decorating, beach hayrides, live music and a townwide scarecrow contest at participating businesses. The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce runs the event alongside a pie baking contest judged the same afternoon. It is the barrier island's main autumn gathering once the summer crowds have thinned.
