Batesburg-Leesville has celebrated the state's poultry industry with a four day festival every second weekend of May since 1987. The festival mixes carnival rides, a street dance and more than 100 craft vendors with events honoring the area's chicken farms. It marked its fortieth anniversary in 2026.
