Phillipsburg's railroad historians and South Main Street merchants fill Shappell Park and the town's historic Union Station with vendors, model displays, and train rides each fall to mark the anniversary of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad's arrival in town in 1853. Now in its fourth year, the one day festival spans three walkable sites along South Main Street. The exact 2026 date has not been posted yet; the prior three editions all landed on the last Saturday of September.
