A free New Year festival in Little Tokyo at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, with a mochitsuki rice-pounding ceremony, taiko drumming, and craft activities for families. It is organized by JACCC and the Japanese American National Museum, distinct from the summer Nisei Week festival. It is usually held on the second Sunday of January.
