Started in 1999 to celebrate North America's largest native edible fruit, the Ohio Pawpaw Festival moves in 2026 to the Snow Fork Event Center in Nelsonville after 25 years at Lake Snowden in Albany. The weekend mixes pawpaw cooking contests and tastings with live music and workshops. It has grown from about 400 attendees in 1999 to roughly 10,000 today.
