San Antonio's Martin Luther King Jr. Day march begins at the MLK Academy on the city's East Side and processes to MLK Plaza. It started in 1968 with a small group and has grown into what local and national press repeatedly describe as the largest single-day MLK march in the country, drawing tens of thousands each January.
