A free three hour variety show of more than twenty local choirs, dance companies and music ensembles fills the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion each December. LA County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn founded the celebration in 1959 to guarantee free arts access during the holidays, and it has run every year since. PBS SoCal broadcasts the program live.
