Ironman Texas sends more than two thousand triathletes through a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike leg and full marathon starting and finishing in The Woodlands. It has served as a North American championship qualifier and draws competitors from across the country each spring. The Woodlands Township has extended its host agreement for the race through 2030.
