The Holiday Bowl pits an ACC team against a Big Ten or Pac-12 opponent each winter at Snapdragon Stadium, continuing a college football bowl tradition in San Diego that dates to 1978. The game airs nationally on FOX and moved to an early January date after decades in late December. It is one of the longest running bowl games not affiliated with the College Football Playoff.
